Data Hall Supervisor

Your mission
  • Managing the change (delivery) process (ITIL); timely and qualitative provision of managed services and data centre (custom) projects on the data floors. 
  •  Managing daily business around the data centre operations. 
  • Managing and coaching the operational team to improve team performance. 
  • Resolving technical and organisational problems.
  •  Managing budget and costs (OpEx, CapEx), Profit & Lost, energy efficiency (PUE) and effectiveness in coordination with the NOC team.
  •  Securing the continuity, security, and connectivity of the data centre to conform and align to Service Level Agreements.
  •  Handling and maintaining safety requirements, legal provisions, compliances, conformities, and standards (e.g., ANSI/TIA-942, ASHRAE, ISO, etc.) inside the data hall.
  •  Managing the capacity management plan and monitoring design limits with the NOC team. 
  • Developing DC operational policies, procedures, and manuals.
  •  Managing operational, safety and security incidents and problems.
  • Managing the Colocation DC MAC and support services. 
  • Managing and implement change and emergency changes.
  •  Managing labelling and configuration of assets.
  •  Managing rack power and floor capacity.
  •  Managing equipment life cycle. • Managing facility contaminations. 
  • Developing and maintaining operational training programs.
  •  Providing regular operational reports.
  •  Managing the quality of the data hall and MMR halls.
  •  Defining network design policies, philosophies, and criteria. 
  • Designing and engineering a secure ICT network infrastructure that the data centre organization can rely on to access, share, and store information.
  •  Designing and engineering local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and the virtual private network (VPN) as needed. 
  • Designing and engineering the ICT infrastructure through the entire data centre life cycle.
  •  Securing ICT infrastructure designs with regulation and (compliancy)standards. 
  • Choosing materials and contractors for the ICT infrastructure in practice.
  •  Overseeing and preparing the roll-out of new ICT infrastructure components for the Enterprise LAN. 
  • Controlling failure and incident analysis, and support testing. 
  • Recommending and using best practices and new technologies.
  • Securing the ICT infrastructure from hackers (firewalls, security policy). 
  • Managing maintenance and troubleshooting of all critical network infrastructure i.e., Firewall, Router, Switch, and server devices.
  •  Implementing the company’s policies on network security and internet access to make sure the effective use of the company’s resources.
  •  Supervising fiber partners and making sure Raxio’s standards are met and adhered to. 
  • Support all IT-related issues of the customers and partners to provide solutions. 
  • Troubleshooting and reporting of the network systems daily.
  •  Addressing IP and documenting cross-connect audits. 
  • Establishing networking environment by configuration and direct system installation. • Documenting and enforcing system standards.
  •  Securing network system by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
  •  Providing tier I support for all colocation duties. 
  • Working with connectivity partners to implement backhaul connectivity. 
  • Supporting the 24-hour NOC call out a schedule as directed by the VP tech. 
  •  Supporting the sales team with customer pre-sales visits. • Other duties assigned by management
Your profile
• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in ICT, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related Fields. 
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Routing and Switching or Data Centre or Cisco Certified Design Professional CCDP or Equivalent
• Certifications in Network Security or Firewall preferred 
• Certification in Networking, Data Center or Critical Facilities Management Systems Preferred Data center and Network related certifications. 
• Minimum of five (5) years of manager-level experience in administering enterprise networks.
 • Minimum of five (5) years of experience leading teams in similar industry. 
• Minimum of three years of experience in working directly with telecom, enterprise LAN and related fields.
• They should be resilient and capable of working long hours. 
• They should have strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
 • They should be able to work under minimum supervision.
 • They should possess excellent analytical skills. 
• They should possess excellent problem-solving skills.
 • They should possess integrity values and be very dependable
