HSE OFFICER

Your mission
  1. Implement Health, Safety and Environmental standards, policies and best practices. 

  2. Elaborate risk assessments and implement mitigation and control measures. 

  3. Collaborate with other departments within Raxio (Facility team, Human resource, Operations, and construction etc.) and outside vendors (General contractors, sub-contractors, emergency services) as they relate to operations and construction. 

  4. Oversee and manage contract guard force by implementing routine checks, deployed personnel Rota, and management of the SOC (Security operations centre) to make sure the facility is highly secure as per the industrial best practices.

  5. Ensure compliance and implementation of Group HSSE programs and local regulatory legislation.

  6. Keep track of permit requirements and completion of respective action plans Develop and manage plans for on-site emergencies, special events and other unique safety and security situations.

  7. Ensure HSSE record keeping and provide accurate reporting metrics to support business safety initiatives.

  8. Participate in incidents analysis and investigation, and incorporate lessons learned into the process to avoid recurrence.

  9. Carry out workshops and sensitization campaigns to all employees regarding HSSE aspects.

  10. Access vendor compliance, based on the established work orders, track service deliverables, and escalate corrective actions.

  11. Conduct inspections, audits, and reviews to ensure compliance with Raxio HSSE standards and policies.

  12. Effectively communicate with partner teams when providing HSSE awareness Troubleshooting security devices in conjunction with security system integrator. 

  13. Certify media security requirements within the Data centre.

  14. Participate in regular meetings with vendors, data centre operations and other partner teams to accomplish operational consistency.

  15. Manage access control system and documentation.

  16. Coordinate physical security operations, testing and conducting audit reviews of physical security program

  17. Coordinate fire drills with the sub-contractor / vendor and make sure all fire related equipment is serviced and well maintained via routine inspections.

  18. Overseeing store management i.e. store requisitions and new deliveries. 

  19. Coordinating and supervising Civil maintenance works for DRC

  20. Any other activity that will be assigned to you.


 
Your profile
  Technical or science background with complimentary knowledge in HSE or experience equivalent

A minimum of five (5) years of field experience with a proven record of HSE and physical security.

     Considerable knowledge of HSE regulations and risk assessment practices Knowledge of ISO 14.000 and ISO 45000 series is a plus.

     Knowledge of electrical safety is considerable advantage.

High ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.

     Resilient and capable of handling pressure and emergencies.

     Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).

     Ability to work under minimum supervision.

      Excellent analytical skills.

      Excellent problem-solving skills.
